Privacy Policy.

Your privacy is important to us. We’ve designed our platform to be private and secure. Last updated November 4, 2025.

1. Introduction

Brinx ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Brinx Chrome Extension ("Extension"). We believe privacy is a fundamental human right.

2. Information We Collect

The Brinx Extension is designed with privacy as a priority. We minimize data collection by design:

Local Storage Only

Images you select are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's local storage. We do not upload, transmit, or store these images on our servers.

No Personal Data

We do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or contact information through the Extension.

No Browsing History

We do not track, log, or monitor your browsing history or the websites you visit.

No Tracking

The Extension does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party tracking services.

3. How We Use Information

The only data processed by the Extension (selected images) is used solely for the purpose of providing the functionality within your browser. This processing happens entirely on your local device.

4. Extension Permissions

To provide our services, the Extension requires specific permissions. We only request what is necessary:

  • Storage: To save your selected images locally in your browser
  • Tabs: To interact with the current tab and display the sidebar
  • Context Menus: To add the right-click menu option on images
  • Scripting: To inject the content script that enables the extension functionality
  • Side Panel: To display the interface
  • Host Permissions: To work on all websites where you want to use the feature

5. Data Sharing & Security

We do not share, sell, rent, or trade any data with third parties. Since all data is stored locally on your device, there is no data transmission to external servers.

Your selected images are stored securely in Chrome's local storage, which is isolated per extension and protected by Chrome's security model. Only the Brinx Extension has access to this data.

6. Data Retention

Your data remains in local storage until you explicitly delete it through the Extension interface or uninstall the Extension. Uninstalling the Extension will automatically remove all locally stored data.

7. Third-Party Websites

The Extension allows you to interact with images from third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these websites. Please review their privacy policies separately.

8. Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
